“Two-Wheel Trauma” course will 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9. Register at https://form.jotform.us/SWCC-CE/two_wheel. Breakfast and lunch will be provided Saturday.

Both courses will be conducted at SWCC Instructional Center, Room 220, 1501 W. Townline St., in Creston.

ABATE of Iowa would like to invite supporting counties’ EMS to these great events. They are grateful to have the chance to have these life-saving, continuing education presentations in the area, and would like to extend an invitation to all community members who wish to attend.

“The Golden Hour” is an accident-scene management seminar for all riders. A friend has just crashed their motorcycle and is hurt, unconscious on the ground. What do you do? It’s not something you think about until it happens, but what you do next may just save their life.

“Two-Wheel Trauma” course is designed as a one-day, conference style, continuing education program intended for personnel who are involved in the care of the injured rider. This includes, but is not limited to, EMS, nurses, physicians and law enforcement and allied health personnel. This program is to enhance the survival rate for the injured riders of bicycles, motorcycles, ATVs, mopeds, snowmobiles and other vehicles of similar design and to reduce the potential for rescuer injury due to inappropriate action at the accident scene.

These seminars are offered for a free-will donation, with all donations going to ABATE of Iowa District 11.
