Jack Howard Davis, 49, of Orient was charged with unlawful possession of prescription drugs and driving while revoked 10:03 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of South Peterson Street.

According to a Creston Police report, Davis was passed out sitting in his van in the middle of the street with the vehicle running and in drive while having a driver’s license status of revoked. Davis had a prescription pill bottle in the console of his van that was prescribed to another individual who was not Davis.

Davis was released on $1,000 bond.

Kerry Lee Starlin, 40, 411 N. Chestnut St., was charged with simple domestic assault 2:43 a.m. Sunday at 1206 N. Elm St.

According to a Creston Police report, when officers arrived they spoke with the victim who said that Starlin was at their residence when they arrived. Starlin had no permission to be at their residence and was also intoxicated. The victim said that Starlin came up and started hitting and punching them. As the victim was trying to defend themselves Starlin ended up getting hit on her eye. Officers charged Starlin and transported her to the Union County Law Center.

Starlin was released on $300 bond.

Michelle Schell, 50, 408 N. Oak St., was charged with fifth-degree theft 9:15 a.m. Monday at the Law Enforcement Center.

According to a Creston Police report, Schell entered Wal-Mart and took a sweatshirt and left the store without paying for it. This was recorded through store video. On Aug. 9 Schell admitted to officers that she stole this item. The sweatshirt was valued at approximately $9.96.

Schell was released on a promise to appear.

Jason Burg, 1001 N. Birch St., reported that a window on the south side of his residence was broken out sometime around 12:30 a.m., Saturday.

Damage estimate was $200.

Amanda Hanson, 107 E. Irving St., reported someone had broken the driver’s side rear window out of her vehicle between 1 a.m. and 11 p.m. Saturday while it was parked at her residence.
