Allie (Winkler) Faust, 103, of Mulberry, Indiana, formerly of the Creston and Lorimor areas, died Friday, July 21, 2017, at Mulberry Nursing Home in Mulberry, Indiana.

Celebration of life services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 28, at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25, in Creston. The Rev. Matt Novotny will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, south of Creston. Open visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 27, at the funeral home with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Allie Mae Hurt Winkler Faust, daughter of Carl M. Hurt and Annie M. (Niblack) Hurt, was born May 25, 1914, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Allie moved to the Lorimor area in 1921, and graduated from Lorimor High School in 1932.

On Jan. 6, 1932, Allie married William A. “Bill” Winkler in Winterset at the Methodist parsonage. They settled in the Lorimor area where she worked as an active mother, farm-wife and homemaker. Allie had also worked with Watts-Lindsay Funeral Home in Lorimor. Bill died in 1992.

On Aug. 3, 1992, Allie married George Axel Faust in Missouri. They lived in the Creston area. George died in June 2014. Allie then moved to Layfayette, Indiana, to live near her son, Jack.

Allie is survived by her son Jack A. Winkler of Lafayette, Indiana; step-children, Jim (Sandy) Faust of Rising Sun, Indiana, and Sandra Rooker of Creston; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild.

Allie was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Bill Winkler; second husband, George Faust; son Bill Winkler; two brothers; step-son-in-law John Rooker in 2016 and step-grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Nathan and Kim Gross in 2003.
