Cost of contractor means less money for roads

From Richard Ray

Creston

Our poor city is burdened with poorly maintained streets after the flood of 1993. Lagoons and septics are overwhelmed. This started with a program to divert water to storm sewers and not to the city sewer to process. Sludge is now a problem with sludge build up due to less water to move on to the lagoon.

Now it requires millions to hire a contractor to move the sludge build-up which is due to less water in the system. The east and west coasts have similar problems due to stools flushing less water and shower heads that restrict water flow.

Because of this cost, we have less to maintain our roads.
