Glendon Melvern Kauffman, 82, of Lorimor died Saturday, June 24, 2017, at his home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, at Crest View Amish Mennonite Church northeast of Creston. Edward Headings, Leonard Headings and Gerald Hostetler will officiate. Burial will be in Crest View Amish Mennonite Cemetery northeast of Creston. Open memorial visitation with family present will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 26, at Crest View Amish Mennonite School.

Glendon Melvern Kauffman, son of Melvin and Mabel (Kropf) Kauffman, was born Aug. 16, 1934, at Pigeon, Michigan. Around the age of 5, he moved with his parents from Michigan to Tampico, Illinois, and in 1949, the family moved to Oregon.

On Jan. 10, 1954, he married Beulah Hostetler, daughter of Elmer and Vinnie Hostetler, near Yoncalla, Oregon. In 1962, Glendon and Beulah moved to Muscoda, Wisconsin. He was a dairy farmer for many years. After living in Wisconsin for 46 years, they moved to Lorimor in 2008, where they lived at the time of his death.

Glendon is survived by his wife Beulah; children, Ronald (Shirley) Kauffman of Creston, Gary (Sharon) Kauffman of Lorimor, Clifford (LaRita) Kauffman of Lorimor, Randall (Iva) Kauffman of Monroe, Wisconsin, LaVonne Kauffman of Lorimor and Joanne (Ben) Hostetler of Buffalo, Missouri; 33 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren, sisters, Loretta (wife of the late Alvin) Kempf of Sedalia, Missouri, Emma Jean Packnett of Creston, Miriam (Larry) Headings of Muscoda, Wisconsin, Eunice (Clifford) Hostetler of Berryville, Arkansas; and brother-in-law Ken Headings of Summerville, Missouri.

Glendon was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Curtis and Raymond; sisters, Elva Headings and Mary Lou Hostetler; one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.
