LEON — Josephine Moore, 22-month-old daughter of Michael Moore and Rebecca Drake, was pronounced dead Thursday after a possible drowning.
According to the Decatur County Attorney’s office, at approximately 9 p.m. Thursday, authorities responded to a 911 call at a residence on Highway 69, south of Leon.
Responders transported Josephine Moore to the Decatur County Hospital by ambulance, at which point Moore was pronounced dead upon arrival. An autopsy is pending.
The possible drowning remains under investigation by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
