Accidents

No citations were issued after an accident 8:47 p.m. April 22 on Green Valley Road.

According to a Creston Police report, Hailee Elizabeth Trichel, 15, of Corning, driving a 2001 Dodge north in the 1200 block of Green Valley Road, swerved to miss a deer in the roadway, lost control of the vehicle and came to rest in the east ditch causing damage to the vehicle. There was also damage done to a fence belonging to Bill Bolinger of Creston.

Injured in the accident were Trichel and passenger Hayli Ann Shinn, 15, of Orient. Both were transported by private vehicle to Greater Regional Medical Center, where their conditions are currently unknown.

Damage estimates are $4,000 to Trichel’s vehicle and $500 to Bolinger’s fence.

No citations were issued after an accident 8 a.m. May 2 on Highway 34.

According to a Creston Police report, Katherine Darlene Steinbach, 26, of Lenox, driving a 2002 Chevrolet north on Highway 34, lost control of the vehicle and went into a ditch causing damage to the vehicle.

Damage estimates are $2,000 to Steinbach’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 4:08 p.m. May 11 at Wal-Mart.

According to a Creston Police report, Jerome Louis Snell, 38, of Creston, driving a 1994 Ford, backed out of a parking spot in the parking lot at Wal-Mart at 806 Laurel Street. Jennifer Grace Lacey, 40, of Creston also backed out of a parking spot in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Both Snell and Lacey did not see each other and the two vehicles backed up into each other causing damage to both vehicles.

Damage estimates are $1,000 to Snell’s vehicle and $800 to Lacey’s vehicle.
