Personal records reached by Panther duo

Two bests for Panthers boys

CARLISLE — Thanks to sickness, injury and personal matters, the Creston boys track and field team brought two members to Carlisle’s meet Tuesday.

It was not for naught, as Camden Peterson and Jared Moreland both set personal records.

Peterson’s 27.00 in the 200 and 1:00.11 in the 400 were personal bests. Moreland’s 1:02.99 in the 400 was a best for him as well.

Moreland also ran a 2:42.06 in the 800.

“Coach Birchard and myself are proud of the competitive efforts of both Camden and Jared,” Creston coach Pat Schlapia said. “With being only two, they showed a lot of grit and determination. They didn’t back away from the competition. They’ll certainly will grow from this type of competition.”
