Glenna Eggert, 91, of Red Oak, formerly of Clearfield, died Friday, March 31, 2017, at Red Oak Rehab and Care Center.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at United Methodist Church in Clearfield. The Rev. Michael Shaffer will officiate the service. Burial will be in West Fairview Cemetery in Lenox. Armstrong Funeral Home in Clearfield and Mount Ayr is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are to be in Glenna’s name. Online condolences may be left at www.armstrongfh.com.

Glenna Mae (Frame) Eggert, daughter of Glen and Mildred Velda (Snare) Frame, was born April 19, 1925, in Taylor County near Lenox. Glenna attended country school in Taylor County and graduated from Lenox High School. She then went to Elizabeth School of Nursing in Lincoln, Nebraska.

On Dec. 23, 1946, Glenna married Raymond W. Eggert in Lincoln, Nebraska. The family lived on a farm near Unadilla, Nebraska, and Glenna worked as a registered nurse at Syracuse Hospital in Syracuse, Nebraska.

In February 1959, they moved to a farm southeast of Clearfield. Glenna continued working as a nurse for Ringgold County Hospital, Clearview Homes in Clearfield, Clearfield School and then, Ringgold County Public Health for 13 years before retiring.

Glenna was a member of Friendly Neighbor Club, District Nurse Association, Rook Club, United Methodist Church of Clearfield and Legion Auxiliary Post 0097 of Clearfield.

Glenna is survived by her sister Golda Ingram of Prairie City; brother Eugene (Red) Frame of Edwards, Missouri; son William Eggert (Phyllis Biggs) of Red Oak; grandchildren, Kevin and Melissa Eggert of Clearfield, Darwin Eggert of Lenox, Kristine and Nick Jackson of Des Moines and Andy and Leslie Eggert of Red Oak; great-grandchildren, Kassie Spencer, Kory and Aiden Eggert, Austin, Tyler, Emily, Kelsey and Brett Eggert, Joel, Trevor and Morgan Jackson and Joshua Eggert; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Glenna was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond; son John; grandson Michael; brothers, Kenneth, Norman and Howard; sisters, Martha and Alice; sisters-in-law, Darlene and Jeanette and brothers-in-law, Wesley, Roland and Harland.
