Bonnie Routh, 86, of Creston died Monday, April 24, 2017, at Clearview Nursing Home in Mount Ayr.

Celebration of life memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 27, at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25, in Creston. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday service time. The Rev. Delores Doench will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials are to Platte Center Church and to the Fibromyalgia Cure. Bonnie Jean Routh, daughter of James Thompson and Hazel E. (O’Dougherty) Thompson, was born April 16, 1931, in Bedford. She graduated from Clearfield High School in 1950.

On June 29, 1952, Bonnie married Roland D. Routh in Clearfield. They lived most of their married life on a farm south of Creston. Bonnie worked in the ice cream parlor in Clearfield, then with Gits Mfg. in Creston in production. She went on to work as the bookkeeper for Kerr-Cochran Chevrolet dealership in Creston, and their successor Bill Cornick, and lastly, the Stalker family, working approximately 40 years.

Bonnie was a member of Platte Center Presbyterian Church and Presbyterian Women, Greater Regional Hospital Auxiliary and Clearfield Lions.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Roland Routh of Creston; son Brett (Tawnya) Routh of Creston; grandchildren, Stephanie (Ben) Reed of Des Moines, Jeffery “J.D.” Routh of Prescott and Jacob Routh of Creston and longtime friends, Pearl Shrimpton and Bonnie Jensen, both of Atlantic and Bill and Bonnie Cornick of Creston.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents.
