Wayne Kenfield, 86, of Creston died Sunday, April 16, 2017, at Creston Specialty Care in Creston.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 23, at Bohemian National Cemetery in Prescott. A memorial service will also be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1000 Cottonwood Road, in Creston. The public is invited. No visitation is planned. Wayne Bixler Kenfield, son of Chester Canterbury and Blanche (Bixler) Kenfield, was born Aug. 4, 1930, in La Porte, Indiana. Wayne attended the La Porte schools and was a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in microbiology. He was an educator for two years. The remainder of his career was spent as an environmental chemist, serving in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Ohio.

On Nov. 10, 1962, Wayne married Mary Ann Blazek Campbell in La Porte, Indiana. After living in several states during Wayne’s career, the couple retired at Sun Valley Lake and eventually Creston.

Wayne was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Wayne is survived by his brother Kenneth Kenfield of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister Joyce (Gary) Droege of Syracuse, New York; brother-in-law John Blazek of Prescott; sisters-in-law, Daisy Brown of Corning and Darlene Blazek of Creston; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Blanche Kenfield; wife Mary Ann; parents-in-law, Rudolph and Gladys Blazek; sister Dorothy King; brothers-in-law, Rex King, Robert Brown and Louis Blazek; sisters-in-law, Mary Kenfield and Margaret Blazek and nieces, Deammie Jo Blazek and Patricia Blazek.
