Creston firefighters responded to a grass fire 9:05 p.m. Friday at the intersection of 130th Street and Lure Avenue.

According to a Creston Fire report, firefighters were dispatched for a grass fire on the north end of Three Mile Lake. Firefighters extinguished the fire with the help of Afton firefighters. The fire was contained to the area around the lake.

Creston firefighters responded to a grass fire 2:08 p.m. Sunday on 110th Street.

According to a Creston Fire report, firefighters were dispatched for a small grass fire. Firefighters took Truck 1, the Ranger, Engine 1 and Engine 2 to extinguish the blaze.

Creston firefighters responded to a grass fire 2:41 p.m. Sunday on Academic Avenue.

According to a Creston Fire report, firefighters were dispatched for a small fire on the north fence of the football field on Academic Avenue. Rescue 3 and Afton firefighters extinguished the blaze.

Creston firefighters responded to a grass fire 11:32 a.m. Monday at the intersection of 11th Street and Forest Lane.

According to a Creston Fire report, the grandson of Clifford Olsen, the owner, was burning sticks and the wind pushed the fire across the street and through a ditch. The fire was limited to less than half an acre. Truck 1 and Engine 2 were used to extinguish the fire.

Damage estimate is $10.

Creston firefighters responded to a grass fire 3:52 p.m. Monday on 195th Street.

According to a Creston Fire report, firefighters were dispatched to 2084 195th St., for a grass fire that spread into hay bales owned by Bruce Fife. Upon arrival, firefighters found 40 hay bales burning along with grass.

Damage estimate is $1,500.
