Area wrestlers compete at AAU state

A number of area wrestlers competed at the AAU state tournament Feb. 25 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

In the ‘A’ Division, Dylan Stein did not place at 65 pounds.

In the ‘B” Division, Christian Ahrens did not place at 65 pounds. Drew Ehlen placed eighth at 80 pounds. Jaden Knight, from Mount Ayr, placed seventh at 100 pounds. Kaden Street did not place at 105 pounds. In the ‘C’ Division, Justin Parsons was eighth at 70 pounds. Isaac Shields did not place at 75 pounds. Kolby Hulett was fifth at 120 pounds. Keaton Street did not place at 125 pounds. Garon Wurster did not place at 125 pounds. Jackson Kinsella was second at 152 pounds. Andy Weis qualified at 189 pounds but did not wrestle due to injury. Logan Osterhout was fourth at 260 pounds.
