HOMETOWN: Lincoln, Nebraska
HOW WOULD YOU COMPARE CRESTON NOW TO YOUR FIRST IMPRESSIONS? It’s kind of the same. It’s really small. I’m not used to that, being from Lincoln. It’s all right. We’re usually in the gym or in class all the time, so we don’t have much time to do anything else.
WHAT WAS IT LIKE PLAYING IN FRONT OF THAT CROWD SATURDAY? It was really fun. It got me excited for the game. We just wanted to show the crowd a good game.
WHEN DID YOU START PLAYING BASKETBALL? I was really young, probably second or third grade.
FAVORITE BASKETBALL TEAM: NBA, I’d probably have to say the Cavs. I don’t really have a favorite college team, to be honest.
IF YOU COULD PLAY ONE-ON-ONE AGAINST ANY PLAYER, WHO WOULD IT BE? MJ
FUNNIEST TEAMMATE: Kevin Shields
WHO IS THE BEST SHOOTER ON THE TEAM? I think me.
WHO IS THE BEST DUNKER ON THE TEAM? Brodric (Thomas), definitely
FAVORITE MOMENT FROM THIS SEASON (SO FAR): Probably winning the regional championship against Kirkwood.
BEST THING ABOUT BEING PART OF THE SPARTAN PROGRAM: I just think everybody on campus, they recognize us and how we’re doing good. They show us so much support. I like that.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO ABOUT PLAYING IN THE NATIONAL TOURNAMENT? It’s really my first time playing a national tournament. In high school, my team, we were pretty good, but we never made it to state. So we want to get down there and do something.
WHAT WOULD IT MEAN TO BRING SWCC ITS FIRST NATIONAL TITLE? It’d be great. We’d love to do that. It’s our goal. We’ve just been working hard trying to get there.
FUTURE PLANS: I’m going to play basketball at a four-year. I’m not sure where yet.
HOW HAS SWCC HELPED PREPARE YOU FOR YOUR FUTURE? Basketball-wise, it has helped me a lot. Coach Lo really taught me how to win. School-wise, classes are all right here. I think they got me ready for the university level.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO STUDY? I’m not 100 percent sure, but I think something like physical therapy.
