Creston firefighters were dispatched to a grass fire 8 p.m. Thursday on Iris Avenue.
According to a Creston Fire report, the owner, Tim Dunay, called Creston Fire Department saying he lit his ditch and the fire was burning toward the next house on the road.
Firefighters went and put the fire out.

According to a Creston Fire report, firefighters were dispatched to 1794 140th St. Upon arrival, firefighters found about three acres of pasture and corn stalks on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire with 300 gallons of water.

According to a Creston Fire report, firefighters were dispatched to 1863 REA Road for a controlled burn that had spread. Upon arrival, firefighters found the road ditch and dead trees on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire.
