AFTON – Eighteen East Union FFA members competed at sub-district contests Feb. 21 in Stuart and did a nice job.
Mara Weis brought home a second-place gold award and qualified for district contest in ag sales.
The conduct of meetings team consisting of Rakenzy Pryor, Lauren Hadley, Callie Gossman, Kamren Fry, Taylor Purdy, Alissa Weinkoetz and Beth McKnight finished with a fourth-place gold and alternate team to district.
Lauren Mitchell received a gold rating in job interview and placed sixth.
The chapter program team comprised of Allison Hadley, Kennady Fry and Mason Gossman placed fifth with a silver award.
Parliamentary team which included Brayden Martinez, Casey Allen, Sidney Mcfee, Kendra Kirkland and Macy Mcfee received a silver rating and placed fifth, and freshman creed speaker, Jayden Welcher, placed seventh with a silver award.
All of the members competed well and represented East Union FFA and school district at a very high level.
