The program was given by Jim Gephart of Indianola, balloon race director for Creston Balloon days. He discussed the hobby and rules of flying hot air balloons. Creston will be hosting its 40th Balloon Days this September.

The annual pancake day for Kiwanis will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 14 at Creston First United Methodist Church, on the corner of Elm and Howard streets. The club members have tickets for sale now and will be doing all the cooking of the regular and blueberry pancakes once again.

The club will be meeting Feb. 21 at the Methodist Church for a Ron Levine memorial pancake meal and meeting. Levine’s family recently donated memorial money for the club to use to improve kid’s activities in the Creston area. Final details will be announced when finalized.
