Brady Gale Richert, 38, 505 N. Poplar St., was charged with operating while intoxicated 8:49 a.m. Tuesday at Union County Law Enforcement Center.

According to a Creston Police report, Richert crashed his vehicle at the intersection of South Chestnut and East Clark streets. Richert admitted to driving and having a couple of beers that morning. Richert consented to field sobriety tests, which indicated a level of impairment over .08. Richert also consented to a preliminary breath test, which indicated an alcohol concentration over .08. Richert later consented to a breath test on the DataMaster, which indicated an alcohol concentration of .184.

Richert was released on $1,000 bond.

John Michael Burgoyne, 39, 314 1/2 N. Sycamore St., was charged on a Union County warrant for fourth-degree theft 3:32 p.m. Wednesday at Union County Law Enforcement Center.

According to a Creston Police report, at Casey’s General Store, 200 S. Elm St., Burgoyne attempted to purchase grocery items, lottery tickets and cash cards totaling $210.78. Burgoyne attempted to pay with a check, but that form of payment was not accepted. Burgoyne then left the store and did not return to make another form of payment.

Burgoyne was released on $1,000 bond.

Bobbie Sue Flynn, 35, 619 N. Birch St., was charged on a Union County warrant for violation of parole 2:11 p.m. Thursday at her residence.

Flynn was being held in Ringgold County Jail for Union County on no bond.

An employee of CHS, 1310 E. Howard St., reported a rock was thrown through a window between 8 a.m. Jan. 25 and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the weigh station at the intersection of South Division and West Union streets.

Damage estimate is $250.

Gayle Christiansen, 703 N. Chestnut St., reported a Sony PlayStation 4 was taken from her son’s bedroom, and damage was done to the property between 3:15 and 8:30 p.m. Thursday at her residence.

Loss and damage estimate is $700.
