Christopher Scott Partlow, 44, of Menlo was charged with driving while license suspended 10:23 a.m. Jan. 27 in Adair County.

According to an Adair County Sheriff report, officers were on routine patrol when they noticed a white 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue with Iowa plates traveling north on Highway 25 near 190th Street at a high rate of speed. Officers checked the vehicle’s speed at 68 miles per hour with moving radar. Officers got behind the vehicle and activated emergency vehicle lights, stopping the vehicle on 190th Street off Highway 25.

Officers approached the driver’s side of the vehicle and made contact with the driver. Officers told the driver they stopped him for speeding 68 mph in a 55-mph zone. The driver admitted to speeding and said he wasn’t paying attention to his speed. The driver then informed officers he may not have a valid driver’s license and said he had an operating while intoxicated charge not too long ago. Officers asked him to go back to the patrol vehicle, to which he complied.

The driver did not have identification with him, but said his name was Partlow. Officers ran Partlow’s information through and confirmed his identification. It was confirmed Partlow was in fact revoked for operating while intoxicated test failure effective from Dec. 19 to June 6. Officers notified Partlow of his revocation and charged him.
