Terry Squibbs, 39, 1009 N. Cherry St., was charged with allowing an animal to run at large 4 p.m. Jan. 24 at his residence.

Darrien Steven Mead, 33, 108 S. Sumner Ave., was charged with second-offense public intoxication 5:15 p.m. Wednesday at Great Western Bank.

According to a Creston Police report, officers responded to a call in the area of the intersection of South Elm and West Taylor streets and spoke to Mead in the parking lot of Great Western Bank, located at 103 W. Taylor St. Mead said to officers he had been drinking and was intoxicated. Mead had been previously charged with public intoxication in 2013.

Mead was being held on $1,000 bond.

Tashina Lee Martwick, 31, of Ames was charged with simple domestic assault 11:30 p.m. Friday at 612 Grand Ave.

According to a Creston Police report, during an argument, Martwick struck a female victim in the face and pushed the victim, causing pain.

Martwick was released on promise to appear.

Dakota Shane Gaulden, 26, of Orient was charged with operating while intoxicated and second-offense possession of a controlled substance 1:15 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of West Adams and North Division streets.

According to a Creston Police report, Gaulden was stopped for hitting a curb and causing damage to his vehicle. Gaulden showed signs of impairment and consented to a field sobriety test. Gaulden showed significant signs of impairment and admitted to being intoxicated. Gaulden consented to a preliminary breath test and had a blood-alcohol content well above .08. Gaulden was charged and was offered the DataMaster test, and had a test result above .08.

Also, during a pat down, a small bag containing a green, leafy substance consistent with marijuana was discovered in his right pants pocket.

Gaulden was released on $1,000 bond.

Paul William Daniels, 32, 316 W. Montgomery St., was charged with second-offense public intoxication 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of West Montgomery Street.

According to a Creston Police report, Daniels was seen leaning against his residence while officers were writing a citation. Daniels appeared to be intoxicated and was mumbling while officers were parked in the road near where Daniels was standing. Daniels was asked if he was OK by officers but was unable to give a straight answer. Daniels had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. Daniels was charged and refused the DataMaster test.

Daniels was released on $1,000 bond.

Destany Degonia, 803 W. Adams St., reported miscellaneous tools, jewelry, a sound bar and LG cell phone were taken between midnight 8 p.m. Jan. 14 and 12:30 a.m. Jan. 15 from her residence.

Loss estimate is $480.

Missy Sickels, 805 E. Irving St., reported cash was taken between midnight Thursday and 2:30 a.m. Friday from her vehicle while it was parked at her residence.

Loss estimate is $140.
