Accidents

No citations were issued after an accident 1 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of North Sycamore and West Howard streets.

According to a Creston Police report, Sherry Lynn Harris, 68, of Creston, driving a 2007 Ford westbound on West Howard Street, did not see and hit a 1996 Ford driven by William Kent Austin, 89, of Creston, in the middle of the intersection after leaving the stop sign.

Damage estimates were $1,000 to Harris’ vehicle and $500 to Austin’s vehicle.

Codie James Cook, 24, of Creston was issued a citation for driving while suspended and failure to have insurance after an accident 6:59 a.m. today at the intersection of South Walnut and East Page streets.

According to a Creston Police report, Cook, driving a 2001 Chevrolet west on East Page Street, went through a yield sign and hit a 2003 Chevrolet driven north on South Walnut Street by Jennifer Lee Mackey, 35, of Clearfield.

Damage estimates were $2,000 to Cook’s vehicle and $4,000 to Mackey’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 8:18 a.m. today on West Clark Street.

According to a Creston Police report, Tammy Lynn Case, 44, of Creston, driving a 2001 Isuzu east on West Clark Street, turned right into the alley when her vehicle slid up over the curb and hit a tractor sitting in the yard.

Damage estimates were $900 to Case’s vehicle and $800 to the tractor.
