Creston firefighters responded to a structure fire 2:28 a.m. Sunday on West Montgomery Street.
According to a Creston Fire report, firefighters were dispatched to 508 W. Montgomery St. for smoke coming from a detached garage owned by Annette Harvey. Firefighters started an initial attack before more firefighters took over and extinguished the fire. Afton Volunteer Fire Department was paged for manpower and they assisted in overhaul.
Damage estimate is $20,000.
