Jacob Davis, 21, 2229 High and Dry Road, was charged on a Union County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while license was suspended 1:13 p.m. Wednesday at 300 N. Pine St.

Davis was released on $300 bond.

Bradley Allen John Nauman, 23, 604 Grand Ave., was charged with public intoxication 1:20 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of North Elm Street.

According to a Creston Police report, Nauman was drunk in a public place while in an alley in the 100 block of North Elm Street. Nauman allegedly threw a beer bottle at another person and was involved in a verbal altercation when officers arrived. Nauman had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and it would get stronger as he spoke. Nauman also had slurred speech and bloodshot, watery eyes. Nauman admitted to feeling the effects of the alcohol and also admitted to consuming several alcoholic beverages. Nauman consented to the DataMaster test and had a blood-alcohol content well above .08.

Nauman was released on promise to appear.

Joseph Charles Cosenza-Weaver, 24, of Lenox was charged with fifth-degree theft and possession of a controlled substance 7:36 p.m. Saturday at Wal-Mart.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were called to Wal-Mart, 806 Laurel St., in regards to a theft where employees caught an individual leaving the store without paying for certain items. The items totaled an amount less than $200.

During a search of Cosenza-Weaver’s bag which was in his possession, officers found a bag of a white, crystal substance. The substance did field-test positive for methamphetamine.

Cosenza-Weaver was released on $1,000 bond.

Dakota Page Earley, 20, 306 S. Pine St., was charged with simple assault 7:36 p.m. Sunday at her residence.

According to a Creston Police report, officers responded to a fight call at Earley’s residence. Upon arrival, officers spoke with both parties. Both parties said the female victim was struck in the head several times, causing her pain. Early was charged.

Earley was being held in Ringgold County Jail for Union County on $300 bond.

Angel Richards, 313 N. Walnut St., reported change and cash were taken between 7:45 p.m. Sunday and 6:45 a.m. Monday from her vehicle while it was parked at her residence.

Loss estimate is $175.

Charles Clark, 1119 S. Lincoln St., reported several bottles of prescription pills and $380 in cash were taken between 10 p.m. and midnight Sunday from his residence.

Loss estimate is $580.
