Andrew Clark Moffitt, 29, of Osceola was charged with fourth-degree theft, interference with official acts and on two Union County warrants for failure to serve jail sentence on original charges of fifth-degree theft and driving while barred 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at 612 New York Avenue.

According to a Creston Police report, officers located Moffitt near the 500 block of New York Avenue. Moffitt ran from officers when they tried to approach him. The officers found an open package on Moffitt’s person that contained a Halo Rangefinder. They also found two Wildgame Innovations trail cameras near where Moffitt began running. All items were taken from Tractor Supply. Cost estimate is $279.98.

Moffitt was being held on $1,000 bond on the new charged and will be required to serve out the balance of his previous sentence.
