No citations were issued after an accident 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at 205th Street.
According to a Union County Sheriff report, Cole Michael Nelson, 15, of Shannon City, driving a 2004 Ford, was westbound on 205th Street when he lost control of his vehicle due to falling asleep. Nelson crossed the center lane, corrected his direction, lost control and drove into the north side ditch where his vehicle rolled over once and came to rest on its tires.
Damage estimate is $5,000 to Nelson’s vehicle.
