Tony Dunkerson Creston

Tony Dunkerson, 56, of Creston died Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at his home in Creston.

Time of sharing will be from 3:30 to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25, in Creston. Flag presentation will be provided by Theodore J. Marten's VFW Post No. 1797 of Creston. Memorial visitation will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.powersfh.com.

Tony Lee Dunkerson, son of Earl E. Dunkerson and Carol Ann (White) Hauser, was born Dec. 3, 1959, in Harlan. He attended school in Creston and obtained his GED while serving his country with the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged Oct. 13, 1982.

Tony lived in Union County his entire life and worked in food service at Taco Johns and The Windrow in Creston.

Tony is survived by his mother, Carol Hauser of Creston; brothers, Brian (Teresa) Dunkerson of Prescott, Doug Dunkerson of Creston and Craig Hauser of Creston; sister Pam (Doug) Graham of Florida; half-siblings, Greg (Pat) Dunkerson of Perriz, California, Mason Dunkerson of Loveland, Colorado, Rhonda Dunkerson of Boulder, Colorado, and Scott Dunkerson of Denver, Colorado; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Earl Dunkerson and grandparents, Earl and Inez White.
