2016 Boham/Kibbe family reunion

The first combined Boham/Kibbe family reunion was held Sunday, Sept. 4, at McKinley Park, Shelter No. 2, in Creston.

All were descendants of Thomas Ford and Bertha Roach Boham except for Brandy Stephens, who was a descendent of Dolly Fern Boham.

Elenor Darlene Boham Cottrell (husband Raymond passed 2012) of Creston is the only known survivor of her immediate family as her siblings have all passed: Kathrine Irene Boham (1931), brother Marvin (1976), younger sister Fordena Fem Boham Lamb (1991), Lois Marie Boham Kibbe (1981) and Dorthea Joyce Boham O’Neall (2002). A step-brother, Michael Boham Weaver, has not been heard from in several years.

Those in attendance were Elenor Darlene Boham Cottrell of Creston; granddaughter Mycale Downey, two of her daughters, Peggy Cottrell Miller and Kate Cottrell Portwood and her granddaughter Skylar, all of Creston.

Darlene’s sister Lois and Robert Sr. Kibbe’s children, Robert Eugene Kibbe Jr. of Mount Ayr and Sherry Briner, twin sons, Kaden and Kody Kibbe of Tingley; Amber Kibbe Smith; Tamara Kibbe Haley and Brad, children Eliza, Margaret Haley and Sebastian of Greenfield; and Thomas Kibbe of Sioux City.

Debbie Kibbe Hansen Shields of Diagonal; Billy Shields of Benton, Jason Hansen and sons, Dustin of Atlantic and Jacob of Osceola; and Joe and Jennifer Hansen, children Destiny, Christian and Elexus of Benton.

Dianna Kibbe Bower Baldwin of Lorimor and Tracy Bower, daughter, and (fur-baby Gizmo) of Plano, Texas.

Deanna Kibbe Groves and John and (fur-baby Fred) of Thayer; Nathan and Tabatha Groves, children, Austin and Madalynn of Weldon; and Shaina Groves, Russ Jenkins and sons, Gavin and Cayden of Winterset.

Dena Kibbe Campbell and (fur-baby Remi) of Grant City, Missouri; Cassie Campbell Jones and Anthony, children, Christian and Victoria of St. Louis, Missouri; and Brittney Campbell Lakey and daughter Scariette of Grant City, Missouri.

Brandy Stephens, Wade Sick and children, Eastyn, Emersyn and Ellington of Lorimor.

There were 50 guests and four fur-babies. Cottrells, Bohams, Lambs, O’Nealls and all those who could not attend were missed and loved.
