Ruff, Maeder plan November wedding

Edmund and Barbara Ruff announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter Leah Ruff, all of Farmersburg, to Curtis Maeder of Johnston, son of Roy and Teresa Maeder and grandson of Phyllis Huff and the late Bill Huff and Earl and Betty Maeder, all of Creston.

Ruff is a graduate of Iowa State University in Ames. She earned a master’s degree from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, and a Ph.D. in plant breeding and genetics from University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Maeder is a graduate of Iowa State University. He is currently employed as systems engineer at John Deere in Urbandale.

The couple plan a Nov. 19 wedding at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Urbandale.
