More thoughts on judicial retention

Varnum v. Brien riled up a bunch of folks. It still is reflected in the signs that are displayed in many yards and along public highways and streets.

For the edification of any who are opposing the justices on that basis you may want to consider Articles One and Six of the Iowa Constitution and the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. If you are seeking justices who have not read the Iowa Constitution or the U.S. Constitution or, who do not believe what is written so clearly in them, or who will betray their sworn duty to preserve, protect and defend them, that may be opening the door to rule by whim and not rule by law.

Believe what you will; vote how you wish; but, the law is the law, and the law declares that citizens have equal rights.
