5 minutes with Trevor Bacon, kitchen manager at Casey's north

AGE: 20

HOMETOWN: Shenandoah, but I live (in Creston) now.

FAMILY: Parents Chad and Theresa Bacon; siblings Paige and Kyle

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB? I get to talk to lots of people all the time. I get to work with a lot of people who are more or less within my demographic.

MOST LOTTERY TICKETS YOU’VE SOLD TO ONE PERSON: I haven’t done too many mass register shifts, but I have sold four to one person.

OTHER THAN GAS, WHAT DO YOU SELL THE MOST OF? Pizza slices. Lots of pizza all the time.

WHAT IS THE STRANGEST THING THAT’S HAPPENED TO YOU ON THE JOB? Being a delivery driver, you see a lot of weird stuff.

WHAT IS THE FUNNIEST THING A CUSTOMER HAS TOLD YOU? “Take it and stick it in your pocket” in reference to tip money.

HOBBIES: I am a musician. I play the drums in my free time. Most of the time, I just thoroughly enjoy music and working outside.

WHERE DO YOU MOST WANT TO TRAVEL BUT NEVER HAVE? West – anywhere west. I’m really getting into California. That’s where I want to go with my (welding) degree that I have.

WHAT IS THE ONE CONCERT YOU’D MOST LIKE TO GO TO? Original Lynyrd Skynyrd or something like that just for the nostalgia.

IF YOU HAD TO EAT THE SAME MEAL THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE? Ramen. Been there, done that as a college kid. Eating ramen won’t ever get old.
