BOONE — The Creston/Orient-Macksburg junior varsity team fell in Boone Monday night by a score of 28-0.

“Tonight was a bit of a struggle for us on both sides of the ball. This group of sophomores and juniors hasn’t had much time together in practice and I think that showed,” coach Kevin Cooper said. “Boone was a really good JV team, and they really put the pressure on us all night long. Their defensive line was all over us all night. It wasn’t the way we wanted to start the season, but as we get more practice time together, we feel this could be a pretty good group.”

Eli Loudon led the way for the Panthers through the air, going 4-of-6 for 64 yards. Garrett Dahl was the leading receiving target for the Panther offense with two receptions for 50 yards. Dale Boyer led the ground attack with 33 yards on 10 carries.
