Bloodmobile report

Creston-area bloodmobile was held Monday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. It did not get started until after 3 p.m. due to the American Red Cross truck breaking down. In the less than 3 hours until 6 p.m., 83 people presented, 11 people were deferred, 77 units of whole blood were collected and eight of those were double-red donors.

Joining gallon clubs were Karen Norton and Verleta Chubick, who achieved 1 gallon, and Mike Wolfe, who gave 17 gallons. First-time donor was Tim Baucom.

Workers at the bloodmobile were Betty Davis, Barb Jennings, Marisue Lewis, Ilene Carter, Linda Hughes, Ann Ferguson, Mary Burg, Darlene Stamps, Ruby Stephens and Ann Wenzig.

Nurses were Jerrie Henderson and Ann Moore.

Helping with publicity was Bud Conner.

Donor callers were Judy Weese, Pat Butcher, Mike Wolfe, Sandy Oswald, Pauline McCoy, Pat Bishop, Carolyn Biere, Kathy Tapken, Vaugh Seckington, Dyan Huffman, Peg Anderson, Sharon Skarda, Helen Mosman, Ron Levine, Marcia Stewart and Linda Hughes.

Kitchen workers were Mary Burg, Sharon Gile, Darlene Loudon, Connie Loomis, Marti Williams, Dorothy Cook and Sharon Eklund. In the absence of Betty Jungst, also helping in the kitchen were Ann Bryant and Rosalie Denton.

Loaders and unloaders were: Dan Gibbons, Merle Lane, Dean Wallace, Dave Abildtrup, Mike Wolfe, Dennis Carter and Jim Nelson.
