Jack C. Carpenter, 53, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, died Sunday, July 24, 2016. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak. There will be no public viewing. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Pearson Family Funeral Service, 809 W. Montgomery St. in Creston, is in charge of arrangements. Jack C. Carpenter, the son of Dewey Carpenter and Verlea Joann (Gay) Sands, was born June 2, 1963, in Red Oak. Jack attended Red Oak Community School. He worked as a roofer and did construction work. Jack helped at the Exotic Pet Animal Shelter in Peyton, Colorado. He also worked with junk scrap metal.

Jack had lived in Colorado Springs for 36 years. He was a member of the Colorado Springs Sons of Silence Motorcycle Club for 36 years. He loved riding motorcycles and enjoyed fishing.

Fourteen years ago, Jack married Janell Juneau.

Jack is survived by his wife, Janell, of Colorado Springs; daughter, Amanda Cascaden of Colorado Springs; son, Dakota Wedor of Thermopolis, Wyoming; brothers, Dewey Carpenter Jr. of Red Oak and Jay (wife Robbie) Carpenter of Portales, New Mexico; sister, Jennifer (husband Harry) Walters of Creston; father, Dewey (wife Darlene) Carpenter of Red Oak; and many other relatives and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his mother, Verlea Sands, and brother, John Carpenter.
