Ryan Jason Parmenter, 20, 508 N. Vine St., was charged with simple domestic abuse 10:21 p.m. July 14 at 428 Livingston Avenue.

According to a Creston Police report, Parmenter did assault his girlfriend, Natalie Eslinger, by biting her on the hand and dragging her off the bed.

Parmenter was being held on $300 bond.

Lisa Kay Foster, 46, 703 W. Jefferson St., was charged with allowing an animal to run at large 9:45 p.m. Friday at her residence.

Foster was issued a citation and released.

Coltyn Michael Bredberg, 19, 303 N. Oak St., was charged with driving while suspended 10:10 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of West Montgomery and North Elm streets.

Bredberg was released on $300 bond.

Dylan Daniel Hudson, 21, of Shannon City was charged with domestic assault 2:19 p.m. Saturday in Afton.

According to a Creston Police report, Hudson did assault Selena Sampson by throwing a swing and striking her in the arm, causing red marks and bruising.

Hudson was being held on no bond until appearance before the judge.

Jade William Stuart, 35, 1622 185th St., was charged with operating while under the influence 11:35 p.m. Monday at the intersection of East Montgomery and North Pine streets.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were on foot patrol in Creston walking west on the sidewalk of East Mills Street when they heard a vehicle traveling west on the same road. The vehicle was extremely loud as it approached. Officers observed no front plate on the vehicle and they stepped on the roadway and signaled for the vehicle to pull over. Officers spoke to the male and requested a preliminary breath test. Officers later identified the driver as Stuart. As they spoke to him in the patrol car, officers could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. They also observed bloodshot and watery eyes. Stuart admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the evening. Officers asked him if he would be willing to perform field sobriety tests and he agreed.

The field sobriety tests indicated impairment. Officers requested a breath sample from Stuart on the preliminary breath test and he agreed, resulting in a sample of .117. Stuart was taken into custody. While at the jail, Stuart gave a breath sample of .104 on the DataMaster. Stuart was charged and also given a warning for defective exhaust and no front plate.

Stuart was released on $1,000 bond.

Curtiss Daniel Bird, 27, 214 Myrtle St., was charged on an Adams County warrant 12:58 a.m. today at the intersection of West Adams and North Maple streets.

Bird was released on $500 bond.

Cheyenne Kay Hester, 20, of Panora was charged with operating while under the influence 1:45 a.m. today at the intersection of East Montgomery and North Pine streets.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were sitting at the stop sign at North Pine and East Montgomery streets when a black Dodge Journey drove up over the curb while making a right turn. Officers turned around and the vehicle pulled into a parking spot and stopped. Officers approached the vehicle and told the driver the reason for the stop. The driver was identified as Hester. Hester told officers it was a mistake she drove up over the curb. While talking to Hester, at the driver’s window, officers noticed a really strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle. Hester’s eyes were bloodshot and watery.

Officers asked Hester to go back to the patrol car and take a seat in the front passenger’s seat. Once in the patrol car, officers noticed a really strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Hester’s breath as she spoke. Hester admitted to having three Budweiser Heavy beers. Hester’s pupils were also dilated. Officers asked Hester to consent to field sobriety tests and she consented to them.

Hester showed several clues for each of the three field sobriety tests. She was charged and asked to consent to a preliminary breath test. Hester consented and the preliminary breath test indicated Hester was over the .08 legal limit. Hester was then transported to Union County Jail. Once at the jail, Hester consented to the DataMaster breath test. The DataMaster indicated Hester had a blood-alcohol content of .140.

Hester was charged and additionally charged with improper use of lanes.

Hester was released on $1,000 bond.

Timothy J. Burmeister of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, reported items were taken between 4 and 5 p.m. while he was at Southern Prairie YMCA, 1201 W. Townline St. Items taken were a jersey, pants, Keen shoes, bicycle helmet, riding gloves, flip phone, $300 cash and bicycle glasses.

Loss estimate is $890.
