Creston’s RAGBRAI activities schedule

Uptown Creston:

The caboose on West Adams Street will open at noon

Family Fun Center — 301 N. Cherry St. will be open from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.

The Strand Theatre — 309 W. Adams St. will be showing "Finding Dory" in 2D at 1:45 p.m., 4 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.

Local dance studios will perform on Maple Street in front of Coen Furniture, 121 N. Maple St. (Leslie's Dance and Tumbling, 2 p.m.; Spotlight School of Dance, 3 p.m.)

Beverage garden opens at 3 p.m. and closes at 12:30 p.m. (see entertainment below)

Variety Club of Iowa bike presentation on the main stage at 4 p.m.

RAGBRAI veterans' salute on the main stage at 9 p.m.

McKinley Park:

Union County Historical Village will be open from noon until dusk on the south end of McKinley Park

Creston City Pool will open at 1 p.m.

Skateboard demonstrations at the McKinley Park skateboard park from 5 to 7 p.m.

Farmers market at McKinley Park, from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Other:

Crestmoor Golf Club — 1801 W. Townline St.; will open at 8 a.m.

Pine Valley Golf and Bowl — 1407 Highway 34 West; golf will open at dawn, bowling will open at 10 a.m.

Southern Prairie YMCA — 1201 W. Towline St.; will open from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.; guest pass is $8

Hy-Vee Healthy You Mobile opens 7 a.m. at 600 Sheldon St.

Union County Fair — 211 S. Grace St. in Afton

Traces from History and Culture presents "At Home in the Heartland: How Iowans Got to be Us" at 3 p.m. at 310 N. Maple St.

Musical entertainment:

McKinley Park — Triple J Express, 1:30 to 4 p.m.

Beverage garden — Royce Johns, 4 to 4:30 p.m., 6:30 to 7 p.m., 9 to 9:30 p.m.

Uptown main stage — Oreo Meatwagon, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.; Templeton Fade, 7 to 9 p.m.; Double Vision, 9:30 p.m. to midnight
