Accident

Kane Allen Michael Farlow, 18, of Creston was cited for reckless driving after an accident 6:10 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Highway 34 and Industrial Parkway.

According to a Creston Police report, Farlow was driving a 2004 Nissan east on Highway 34, and his vehicle was involved in a chase with law enforcement. Farlow’s vehicle was traveling at an approximate speed of 70 to 80 in a 45-mph zone when he lost control, hit a curb, struck a concrete sewer and came to rest in a field. Farlow was taken by law enforcement to Greater Regional Medical Center to be treated for a wrist injury. A passenger in the rear of the vehicle had a scratch and burn on the right side of his neck from a seatbelt. The individual, Steven Michael Knowles, 38, of Creston was checked on again a little while later and the neck area was showing signs of bruising. Farlow was investigated for operating while intoxicated and provided a urine sample, which has been sent to the lab. Farlow was charged with felony eluding and reckless driving.

Damage estimate to Farlow’s vehicle is $1,500.
