Frances Miller Davenport, 96, of Creston died Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston.

Celebration of life services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at First Baptist Church in Creston. The Rev. Dave Tebbenkamp and the Rev. Eric Wilmeth will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery northeast of Creston. Open visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church. Frances Viola (Feeback) Miller Davenport, daughter of W. Clyde Feeback and Orpha Estella (Kelley) Feeback, was born March 14, 1920, in Genevieve, Montana. She was educated in Arispe and graduated from high school with the class of 1938.

On March 28, 1942, Frances married Wayne W. Miller in Grant City, Missouri. She worked as a certified nurse’s aid at the Creston Hospital, primarily in the obstetrics department. After 25 years, Frances retired on March 15, 1985. Wayne passed away in 1987.

Frances met Lee Davenport and they married Dec. 8, 1987, in Creston.

Frances was a member of First Baptist Church, Gideon Auxiliary and 4-H, and later became a 4-H leader.

Frances is survived by her son Wally (Judy) Miller of Creston; daughters, Linda (Larry) Wilmeth of Indianola and Trudy Williams of Morrison, Colorado; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; stepson Lyndon (Dea) Davenport of Diagonal; stepdaughters, Karolyn McCain of Phoenix, Arizona, and Melody (Dennis) Nordine of Luddington, Michigan; eight step-grandchildren; many step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Raola Giles and Judi O’Grady; brother Jim (Jane Lee) Feeback; along with an extended family and friends.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Wayne Miller and Lee Davenport; sisters, Elizabeth (Lester) Giles and Connie (Don) Huff; brother William Feeback; brothers-in-law, Warren Giles, Lester Giles and Don Huff; grandson-in-law Ricky Styles; niece Brooke O’Grady and stepson Randall Davenport.
