Jeri Rewerts, 92, of Overland Park, Kansas, died unexpectedly May 25, 2016, at home, from heart failure.

A celebration of her life will be held at Valley View United Methodist Church, 8412 W. 95th St., Overland Park, Kansas, 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4. Jeri’s ashes will be placed next to Harold’s in the columbarium of the garden mausoleum in Mount Moriah Cemetery South, Kansas City, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association via www.donatenow.heart.org.

Geraldine Maurine (Jeri) Heath was born in Westmoreland, Kansas, to George M. and Lillian E. Heath on Feb. 4, 1924. She was the ninth of 10 children. Jeri graduated from high school in 1942 in Leoti, Kansas. After high school, she worked as a legal secretary before her marriage to Thomas H. (Harold) Rewerts, her high school sweetheart, on March 15, 1945. Together they had two daughters and three sons. While raising five children, she was active in her church and was an avid bridge player.

After her husband, Harold, died she worked as an administrative assistant before moving to the Overland Park area. There she worked in a sales office until her retirement. She also volunteered at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

She was a member of Valley View United Methodist Church of Overland Park, Kansas. She remained active in her church and enjoyed working puzzles.

Her husband, Thomas H. (Harold) Rewerts, preceded her in death in 1974.

She is survived by her children, two daughters, Joan K. Paik of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania, and Marcia J. Myers of Atlanta, Georgia; three sons, Douglas H. Rewerts and his wife, Kathy of Canton, Georgia, Larry J. Rewerts and his wife, Charlotte of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Thomas L. Rewerts of Overland Park, Kansas; an ex-husband, Gene Feaster of Overland Park, Kansas; one sister, Gail Minor of Arcadia, California, two sisters-in-law, Ruth Rewerts of Stafford, Kansas, and Lois Heath of Olathe, Kansas; and 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; Randal Paik and wife, Jessica and son, Erik of Baltimore, Maryland, Angela Schaeffer and husband, Michael and children, Sophie and Mason of Williamstown, Massachusetts, J.D. Myers and wife, Laurie, and sons, Connor and Riley of Ellicott City, Maryland, Kevin Myers and wife, Amanda and children, Logan, Kinsley and A.J. of Duluth, Georgia, Brady Rewerts of Phoenix, Arizona, Jay Rewerts of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Suzanne Rewerts of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Sara Rewerts Gerwig and husband, Chris and children, Hope, Christian and Luke of Saint Charles, Illinois, Matt Rewerts of Overland Park, Kansas, Claire Rewerts of Ames; and numerous nieces and nephews.
