Scottie Jones, 51, of Creston died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, at Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston.
A memorial luncheon will be held approximately 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 1398, 300 E. Montgomery St., in Creston. This luncheon will be in conjunction with Scottie's mother, Karen (Jones) Fry's, luncheon. Memorials are to his family. Online condolences may be left at www.powersfh.com.
Scottie Ray Jones, son of Robert Lawrence (Mort) Jones and Karen Lea (Wambold) Jones, was born July 31, 1964, in Osceola. Scott grew up in the Afton area and attended school there.
Scott worked a variety of jobs, including Bruce’s DX, Heat Tech, as a farm hand, Hormel Foods, the State of Iowa, and most recently, at Ferrara Candy Company.
Scott is survived by his children, John Robert Lemon of Greenfield, Brandon Ray Jones, Colton Darr and Caleb Darr of Winterset, and Sky and Stormy Jones of Creston; brothers, Bruce (Michelle) Jones of Afton and James Jones of Creston; sisters, Cindy Jones of Creston and Brenda (Mark) Callison of Afton; grandchildren, Raelynn and Sage Jones of Winterset; several aunts and uncles and special nieces and nephews.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Robert (Mort) Jones and Karen Jones Fry in May 2016 and grandparents, Marvin and Jeanette Jones and Bert and Ruth Wambold.
