Robert “Bob” Fulton, 78, of Creston died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at his home in Creston.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. May 28. Military honors will be provided by Theodore J. Marten's Post No. 1797 of Creston. Memorials are suggested to Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston. Robert Lee Fulton, son of Alvin and Edith (Tyrrell) Fulton, was born March 14, 1937, in Adair County. He grew up in the Zion area and graduated from Zion High School with the class of 1955.

On Aug. 7, 1955, he married Oralee Marie Allison in Creston. On Sept. 8, 1955, he entered the U.S. Army and served until being honorably discharged on Sept. 7, 1957. They made their home in Creston. Bob held a variety of jobs from selling seed corn to owning his own businesses and driving a school bus.

Bob was a member of American Legion and Eagles in Creston.

Bob is survived by his son Dan (Norma) Fulton of Creston; daughter Darcy (David) Brown of Atkins; granddaughters, Heather (Jeff) Hill of Afton, Toni Fulton of Clive, Briann and Alyson Brown of Atkins; great-grandchildren, William Sadler and Dallas Sadler, both of Clive, and Collin Hill and Brittany Paxson, both of Afton; step-great-grandson Ethan Hill of California; great-great grandson Parker Cruz of Afton; sister-in-law Maxine Fulton of Des Moines and brothers-in-law, Melvin (Shirley) Allison of Creston and Jim Loudon of Des Moines.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Edith Fulton; wife Oralee in 2004; brothers, Lester, Alva, Carl and William; and sister Beatrice Edwards.
