Don Pottinger, 86, of Creston died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston.
A private family funeral will be held Friday, Feb. 12. Mary O'Riley will officiate. Interment will be private at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be open to the public from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at Pearson Family Funeral Service, 809 W. Montgomery St., in Creston. Memorials may be made in Don's name, to be determined. Donovan Duane Pottinger, son of W. H. “Dick” Pottinger and Charlesa Mary (Alpaugh) Pottinger, was born May 28, 1929, in Prescott.
On April 8, 1950, he married Betty J. Bengtson. They were farmers north of Creston for 60 years.
Don is survived by his wife Betty of Creston; son Wayne (Karen) Pottinger of Creston; daughter Lori Pottinger of Rollinsville, Colorado; grandchildren, Nathan, Jenny, Josh, Angela and Morton; great-grandchildren, Kolten, Shauna, Kaylie, Issak, Luke, Logan and Caden; and sister Janis (Keith) Bullock of Shannon City.
Don was preceded in death by his sister Katherine; daughter Connie and other beloved family members.
