Clearview Home raises funds for Greater Regional Cancer Center

CLEARFIELD – The staff at Clearview Home in Clearfield spent the month of October 2015 selling t-shirts and gathering donations for their second annual Taylor County Pink Out, and raised $2,700 for two area foundations.

“This year our goal was $2,400. We are all very excited, and so appreciate for all those who supported us and helped us exceed our goal. With over 300 T-shirts sold, silent auction items and monetary donations, Clearview staff donated $1,350 to Greater Regional Healthcare Foundation for Greater Regional Cancer Center,” Clearview Home Administrator Patti Parrish said.

The idea for Pink Out came after a co-worker at Clearview was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. The staff and residents wanted to show their support for her, and also help others fighting a battle with cancer. Clearview Home, a privately-owned nursing home for over 50 years, realizes how important it is to have healthcare in southwest Iowa.
