Adair Master Chefs group is organized

A new special interest group for youth who are excited about cooking, food and nutrition, and having fun all at the same time, held its first meeting with 11 members present. Adair County volunteers Terri Raasch and Becky Raasch will be leading the group with the goals of learning kitchen safety, preparing food and following recipes.

Adair Master Chefs was the name chosen by the group. Members gave suggestions of topics and activities they would like to cover during the meetings, including microwave cooking, baking and casseroles. Kitchen safety worksheets were distributed for members to complete before their next meeting. The group plans to meet monthly.
