Dustin James Seley, 36, 306 N. Elm St., was charged with interference with official acts and on a Union County warrant for assault 12:10 p.m. Thursday at his residence.

According to a Creston Police report, between 8 and 10 p.m. Aug. 18, officers took a report that Seley had assaulted another by hitting the victim in the face with a closed fist. Seley disobeyed officers’ orders to stop 12:08 p.m. Thursday. Seley ran on foot and officers chased him while yelling for Seley to stop. He was eventually placed into custody.

Seley was released on $300 bond.

David Allen Murphy, 24, 305 1/2 N. Oak St., was charged with driving while barred 1:30 a.m. today at the intersection of West Taylor Street and South Sumner Avenue.

According to a Creston Police report, at 12:46 a.m. today, Murphy was operating a motor vehicle while his license was barred for habitual offender. Murphy was seen driving near the intersection of South Sumner and Laurel streets.

Murphy was released on $2,000 bond.
