9-11 game shirts to raise funds for responder units

With next week’s game between Winterset and Creston/O-M at Winterset falling on Sept. 11, the Winterset High School student council embarked on a plan to make shirts to commemorate this event, with a special presentation at the game.

Creston High School student government and the football team have joined in and will also take orders today and Friday for the shirts.

The shirts are sold for $12 and all proceeds will go to local first responders in each community. Money raised in Creston will go toward first responder units based in Creston. WHS students will present sales revenue there to Winterset crews at the game.

Order forms are available at the Creston High School office, or online at the Creston Community Schools website home page for the high school — http://www.crestonschools.org/page/3068. Checks are payable to Creston High School Student Council.

Deadline for orders is 4 p.m. Friday. The shirts will be available for pick-up at the high school on Thursday, Sept. 10.
