Vote Judy Woods for school board

From Marcia Fulton

Creston

Having spent almost thirty years in a public school system, it was with concern that I read that an open seat will go to a write-in candidate for the Creston School Board. After much thought, I approached Judy Woods to put her name forth for this position. Judy is highly qualified for the Creston School Board position. She has both a bachelor of arts from Nebraska Wesleyan University and a masters of educational leadership from Iowa State University. Judy is married to Warren Woods and has two grown children.

As her husband’s jobs required multiple household moves, Judy has held positions of middle-school and senior-high teacher in Colorado, Nebraska and Iowa. She was also selected to serve as an administrator, serving as senior high principal in Cumberland, Anita, and Massena, coordinator for middle school “Talented and Gifted,” and at East Union, ELL coordinator. She will bring forty years of educational background and several different levels of experience to our board. I believe a school board is stronger when it is represented by a healthy mix of backgrounds and experiences (parent, business and educator). This election often brings out few voters, yet is vital to our youth as well as our community. I encourage you to go to the polls and vote. Please write in the name of Judy Woods in the open seat and be sure to fill in the circle next to her name.
