Michael Cox, 21, 516 W. Mills St., was charged with public intoxication 11:24 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Lincoln and West Jefferson streets.
According to a Creston Police report, Cox was seen staggering while walking on West Jefferson Street. He exhibited a very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage while talking to officers, and his speech was very slurred. Cox’s eyes were bloodshot and watery, and he had difficulty standing without swaying or losing his balance at times.
Cox was being held on $300 bond.
