Chaylizabeth Blondowski, 18, of Osceola was cited for illegal parking after an accident 4:10 p.m. Aug. 13 in Afton.

According to an Afton Police report, Blondowski, owner of a 2009 Honda, was parked illegally on South Colfax Street in Afton, when a 2002 Chevrolet, driven by Ken Cunningham, 64, of Afton, backed out of a private driveway and struck Blondowski’s vehicle.

Damage estimates are $1,700 to Blondowski’s vehicle and $75 to Cunningham’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 8:27 p.m. Saturday on New York Avenue.

According to a Creston Police report, Daniel Van Hardcastle, 54, of Glenwood was driving a 2001 Honda south on New York Avenue when a tire fell off a trailer being pulled by David Dean Carlisle, 44, of Shannon City, driving a 1994 Dodge south on New York Avenue, rolled into Hardcastle’s lane, and struck the front bumper area of Hardcastle’s vehicle, causing damage.

Damage estimates are $2,500 to Hardcastle’s vehicle and none to Carlisle’s vehicle.

Donald Paul Nix, 49, of Benton, Ark., was cited for failure to obey a stop sign after an accident 6:46 p.m. Monday at the intersection of North Pine and West Howard streets.

According to a Creston Police report, Nix, driving a 1998 Dodge south on North Pine, had a stop sign and witnesses said he did not stop, struck a 2007 Ford driven east on West Howard by Robert Troy McKee, 60, 1007 E. Summit St., and kept driving down the road like nothing happened. McKee was complaining of a side injury and was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

Damage estimates are $3,000 to Nix’s vehicle and $5,000 to McKee’s vehicle.
