Ina Garside Greenfield

Ina Garside, 68, of Greenfield, died Aug. 5, 2015, at the Greater Regional Hospice Home- HCI in Creston.

Private graveside memorials service will be Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Fontanelle Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Broers will officiate. Open visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle. Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25, Creston, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given in Ina's name. Online condolences may be left at www.powersfh.com.

Ina Jane (Baudler) Garside, daughter of Nora L. (Cunningham) Baudler and Albert J. Baudler, was born June 1, 1947, in Des Moines. Ina was baptized, confirmed and married at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle. She graduated from Bridgewater-Fontanelle High School in 1965.

On June 6, 1965 Ina married Bob C. Garside. They lived most of their life in Greenfield.

Ina worked for many years for the Farmer’s Electric Coop in Greenfield as the after-hours dispatcher. She also was a child care provider most of her adult life, first providing day care in her home and then for 30 years for Sunshine Day Care ending her career there as director.

Ina is survived by her sons, Clint (wife Sara) Garside and Chad (wife Jennifer) Garside, all of Greenfield; daughter Annette (husband Steve) Feick of Fontanelle; grandchildren, Taylor and Colton Garside, Katelyn Garside, and Paul and Laura Feick; brothers, Larry (wife Jean) Baudler of Fontanelle and Clel (wife Mary Carole) Baudler of Greenfield; and sister Betty (husband Chuck) Horras of Ames.

Ina was preceded in death by her parents and her husband in 2010.
