Wilson earns Adamantine yoga certification

DES MOINES - Michelle Wilson of Radiant Wellness Solutions became a certified Adamantine Yoga instructor after completing a rigorous training with program founder James Miller in Des Moines on July 19.

“I’m constantly studying and pushing myself to expand my personal yoga practice as well as what I can offer my students,” said Wilson. “When I discovered Adamantine Yoga, my own daily yoga practice took an exciting leap forward, and I knew I wanted to delve deeper so that I could teach the style to others.”

A certified yoga instructor through the Living Yoga Program in Austin, Texas, Wilson has taught yoga in Corning, Creston and Atlantic since 2007, working elements of vinyasa, hatha, qi gong and yin into her classes.

Adamantine Yoga integrates three distinct facets of yoga into a cohesive and transformative daily practice.

“Adamantine is a disciplined approach to yoga practice that combines posture, breath and concentration to form a moving meditation built around a framework of 20 yogic positions,” said Wilson, who has also offered holistic health coaching services since 2013. “These 20 yogic positions provide a complete map of the human body’s movement.”

This distillation of movement includes modifications so practitioners of all levels can find a lifetime of challenge and fulfillment, and the daily practice melds well with Wilson’s goal of helping clients to “find more freedom, ease and joy in how they eat, move and live.”

“The beauty of Adamantine Yoga is in its ability to adapt itself to the needs of each individual student and allow them to thrive,” said Miller. “It takes the best aspects of a private session and combines them with the community support of a group-led class by offering the Guided Self-Practice experience. And in the end it empowers each student to take personal ownership and responsibility for their own practice.”
